Laura Jane Vest Photo Shoot

In October 2010, Naughty Knitwear was lucky enough to be at Allington House in Durham attending 'Another Funky Fair'.

At this fair was Laura Jane Vest a photographer who shares a study with my friend Jen. Laura approached us with an idea for the shoot using Naughty Knitwear and we jumped at the opportunity!

The shoot took place on at the Shed, Gateshead and it was a great success... below are a few of the amazing photos from that day.

I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone involved that day:
The models Charlotte Helen Alexander and Kirsty Louise as well as make-up by Karolina Hejnar MUA and hair by Palatial Hair. And of course, Laura Jane Vest!

Very lazy...

Hello everyone, sorry for the long absence!
Here are a various few images and links to the past few events...

Everyone had a fantastic night at Mr Lynches supporting Women For Women International UK organised by the lovely people from WFWF Society of Newcastle Society.

Read more about the event here.

We have also been having regular stalls at Connection at theCut on a Monday night. A big thank you to Neil Partington from Connection and all the staff at theCUT.

It was great to see all you people at the stalls and hopefully will see you all in the near future too!
And as a treat for my lack of posting I am going to share a film that you should definitely check out... Lars and the Real Girl. Suggested to me by my friend and knitwear enthusiast Hannah, a great film with some amazing jumpers in there too!

Make and Mend Market

I first heard of the Make and Mend Market a few years ago and I knew once that Naughty Knitwear was up and running it would be the perfect place to hold a stall.

The first time we appeared at Make and Mend was September 5th and was one of the first stalls we had. This was at the Star and Shadow Cinema.

We had such a good time we had to go back, and luckily a space became available for the Make and Mend Market in the Grainger Market.

The market is currently ran by a lovely woman called Krista ^^ you should check out her band, they're awesome!

The Naughty Knitwear Company is currently booked in to appear at the two next Make and Mend Markets, both at the Star and Shadow Cinema on Sunday the 7th November and Sunday 5th December. Come down and show your support for this awesome market and get something great in time for Christmas.

The Mixer Market

This story begins a few weeks ago I went to watch my friend Andy play some tunes at RPM records and I met his friend Kate who is on his course at uni.
She was the one who told me about The Mixer Market that was taking place at the Royal Legion Club in Jesmond.

The market was organised by The Suggestibles an improvised comedy show in which is described by, "Laugh, I nearly weed myself!" results.

I had been checking the weather forecast every day leading up to Sunday hoping that the rain would stay off and miraculously it did and ended being a very fair Geordie September day.

We will be back at the next Mixer Market on the Sunday 28th November with loads of new stock, and they will be serving lovely Cumberland Arm's mulled wine, which should really get us in the mood for Christmas!

Heaton Park

The weather in Newcastle is taking it's sudden turn for the worse as September is full swing, but luckily we managed to take some lovely photos in Heaton Park before the rain and cold really sets in.

The sun was shining and all the children were still at school so we had free reign over the park to frolic and photograph our new stock.

It really felt like the last day of summer that day, and as the cold sets in, there are many jumpers looking for loving torsos to cover.

Baltic Square and Star and Shadow Cinema

Sunday 5th September saw the Naughty Knitwear's first stalls at Star and Shadow Cinema and Baltic Square which was association with the Alzheimer's Society.

The weather was lovely for the first weekend of September, much better than most of August!

There were many happy faces with their new knitwear, but don't despair there is plenty more where that came from so watch out for the latest stall dates  and the website launch very soon!

Much love,
